Client Testimonies
John Dakin CEO at Goodman
Stella Green assisted us with our move from an open plan, but assigned desk environment to a fully activity based working model – no assigned desks and only a locker! Stella’s great strength was asking challenging questions, not just of the project team, but also myself in terms of how does the business actually function and people interact. This had a substantial impact on how we laid out our space and we are delighted with the final outcome. In addition, Stella led us through what was a massive change to ABW and a digital first environment well ahead of our actual move – this was critical in making sure the fear and apprehension around all the change was minimised. Sometimes you need someone from outside to ask questions you wouldn’t ask yourself – Stella is that person. JD
Simon Barnes Director at BBD
We engaged Stella Green to provide Transitional Change management for the relocation of AECOM and Davis Langdon to our new 5 Green Star offices during 2011 and 2012. Consulting widely to ensure the transition was successful, Stella worked with all business units to instill new ways of working in the innovative workplace design. Change programmes were delivered around the enhanced technology, way finding , events, and knowledge management. Stella worked closely with our teams in Human resources, IT , Facilities management and operations to ensure that the culture came with us on the journey to this collaborative workspace. We are thrilled with the transition that has taken place and the staffs response to the change programmes.

Stella lead workshops with the executive team for the workplace planning and helped facilitate and contribute to outcomes that enabled the Unispace designers to present options that met our goals. Stella was receptive to our ideas and thoughts and contributed significant subject matter expertise. She was easy to work with and worked at the very fast pace that was required for this design and fit out.
The BP executive team is thrilled with the outcome of the office design and fit out, as are all staff, who are very proud of their new office. The executive is pleased that all the goals for the new workplace have been achieved and that it has contributed to enhancing employee engagement and increasing employee productivity. Stella played a key role in helping achieve these outcomes.
Stella Green has been a valued change advisor at Plant & Food Research since late 2014 when we started to build an integrated workplace change programme to introduce new ways of working. Stella has been an important ingredient in the success of this change at our Auckland and Nelson sites. She was involved in developing the change plan and evaluation methodologies, workshop facilitation and has been an ongoing project team and leadership advisor. We’ve particularly valued the depth and breadth of experience Stella brings and the practical advice she offers. Our workplace change has involved moving to shared and open laboratories, offices, and communal spaces. Stella quickly came up to speed with the unique aspects of the organization and importantly helped bring focus to the similarities with other organisations undergoing workplace change. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Stella and Be Confident as our change journey continues.
I had the pleasure of working with Stella when she led the Change Management of BNZ's Retail Banking team from our Quay Park office to our 80 Queen St HQ. Not only were we moving across town, but we also moved from a standard open plan environment to an activity based, flexi-desk model. Stella led the effort marvellously, resulting in a smooth transition and the easy adoption of a new way of working.
I met Stella during our design and workplace strategy project for IAG New Zealand Ltd in Auckland. This project has proven to be a benchmark in the industry for sustainability and corporate cultural change. Be Confident consulting led by Stella Green became the key ingredient in the change management success of this project. Working through a structured methodology to develop change programs, Stella worked dynamically with the executive team to gain endorsement and solicit support at all levels of management to understand and manage the barriers to change. This led to a strong connection with the human resource teams to knit the new ways of working into the fabric of the business. At a personal level, Stella is a strategic change manager with huge energy, style and strategic clarity. We would not hesitate to recommend her for any corporate change project that requires dedication, clarity and enthusiasm to facilitate the desired outcomes.
I engaged Stella to work with our project teams developing methodologies, new protocols and a property-related change and comms plan for NZ Post Group as we engage with the roll out of a fully IT/Property/Culture/Information management integrated activity based working (ABW) initiative. She was also instrumental in establishing change capability within our team charged with rolling out new work styles for c.1,500 staff in multiple sites in Auckland and Wellington (with more to come). Stella is extremely personable, quick to form professional relationships essential in winning 'hearts and minds' and is a dynamic facilitator with a wealth of knowledge of NZ workplaces that enhanced our programme and sped up the acceptance of change. I would happily engage with Stella again to support future initiatives.
We engaged Stella from Be Confident to guide our successful transformative workplace change programme to relaunch flexible working, and lift collaboration. Be Confident helped us link the changes we wanted to make strategic sense. We tackled a range of components, from tech and storage to identifying our own work styles, ability to flex out as a workforce and activating our new spaces. Key to this successful transformation was how we would take our team with us for the ride. Stella took on the challenge of maintaining and increasing our people’s engagement despite history of poorly implemented workplace change in previous times. Extensively coaching senior leaders and the project team to focus on new possibilities and address issues comprehensively to manage all angles of support and removing all sounds of resistance. Be Confident are our workplace rock-stars. The success of any change is measured in how well used it is after the fact. Our people love our re-invigorated work spaces and most importantly are willing and able to consider new ideas and ways of working.
I hired Stella to help facilitate the change management strategies and migration of 3 international business clients (approximately 3,000 employees) in to the commercial premises at Britomart. Stella's facilitation methods were proactive and thought provoking for the stakeholders involved.
I engaged Stella as the Change Manager for the FAA project, to bring about the behavioural change we needed in the organisation. Her approach had just the right balance of structure and creativity, and her energy and ability to build relationships quickly with scores of stakeholders were impressive. I credit Stella with the success we experienced in getting the "knowledge and attitude" embedded in the business.
Our 400 staff had been working flexibly from offices all over Christchurch since the earthquakes, and we wanted to make sure our building supported staff to really accelerate our work now we were all back together. Stella worked with us, using their substantial experience and facilitation skills, to discover the opportunities presented by the new workplace, and to ensure staff felt the workspaces supported their work to the maximum. Be Confident helped us identify Workplace Principles and delivered a comprehensive set of practical key findings and recommendations that continue to stretch and refine the way we work within the walls of Ecan. We loved working with them

“The best companies now know, without a doubt, where productivity - real and limitless productivity - comes from. It comes from challenged, empowered, excited, rewarded teams of people… engaging every single mind in the organisation, making everyone a part of the action, and allowing everyone to have a voice - a role - in the success of the enterprise.”
